I wouldn't be without a mover for my twin axle. Initially I had it for moving into storage but on two occasions this year I could not have got off the site without it. I had arrived and reversed parked but then after a couple days some had parked in a pitch directly opposite. There was no way I could have hitched the caravan and Disco together to get away. No problem with the motor mover though.

Also get a decent one not cheap, it will be worth it in the end Very Happy

We caravanned for 20 years before getting a mover but would not be without it now.

Our large, heavy twin axle has a Truma mover which we used in anger on two six week continental trips, one to Italy and one to Spain. While most sites were fine - some access is really tight even though pitches are large (we always check beforehand).

We were nearly caught out using it in an Adriatic pine forest which was uneven and unloaded the mover axle causing slippage in the pine needle surface but other than that it has always worked fine.

Using the mover on an 8m van always draws a crowd on the continent.....

The Disco 3 is just the best tow truck we have had, including Range Rover and previous model discos and moving the outfit on wet grass is a treat with the terrain response correctly set -no skidding or ploughing. What a pleasure!

Have been towing and reversing caravans for 35 years plus and have only recently started using a mover system as the caravans are getting heavier and I've gotten older. Have Powertouch 4 wheel mover on Vanmaster Occasion 640. The system is brilliant and worth every penny. I used to have a German Knaus twin axle and used a front towbar on successive Range Rovers and early Discos to do the shunting.
The first time you clip the blind corner of you caravan while reversing is the time the movers become the cheaper option. Wink

Have you got a 'record' of where you got the pushbar metal work, please?
