Had my torque converter repaired in the end and now all is well ,cost £287 for the repair and then fitting and removal plus oil on top

Thats a cracking price. Who did it? Local? Thumbs Up

JP Automatics , who are a ZF dealer in Bristol , so local indy took it out , courier took it to Bristol , they refurbed it to new standard for £287 then courier back to my indy so it's £287 plus courier , plus oil @ £10.50/litre plus indy time @£25/hr so haven't got total cost yet

Since you've probably done the usual bushes that could cause this you might also want to look at the lower steering column. It seems this was the problem with mine being harsh on rough surfaces. I still need to get the report back on what was done by the dealer but it drives much better now. Have a look here: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/albums/us...letin4.pdf

Took it to Landranger in Shrewsbury today who quickly found the the front left and right tracking rods and one of the rear ones had play in them , so they've ordered the parts and next Friday will fit , total cost including labour and VAT £287 , so hopefully this will be all the problems solved , Very friendly service too .
So my 12k truck is now getting on for a 14k truck but I suppose if I'd bought a better truck for 14k it wouldn't have brand new bushes ,track rod ends and reconned torque converter , well that's how I justify it for my sanity Laughing
