| Utah Motor Show - Loaded LR4... |
|
Hi All,
Went to the local Utah Auto Expo yesterday, with tickets supplied by the local dealer. Their stand had a couple of FFRR's and an Evoque - apparently they are selling them as fast as they can get them...
There was an excellent D90 - good on them for not forgetting their heritage:

But i must admit I was drooling after this loaded D4:

Sticker price of $68k with $17k of accessories
Of interest was the new Expo rack - are they being made again does anyone know? Maybe i can get a fairing for mine now (unless anyone has a spare)
The LR dealer recenetly gave up their Bentley franchise and switched to Fisker - time will tell if that was a good move:

Apart from that there was lots of interesting metal, the good (Charger, Corvette, Mustang), the bad (Lincoln - who the hell buys them?), and the Ugly (Prize must go to the Nissan Murano Convertible - hand your man card in straight away if you buy one of them).
I also got a picture with one of Utah's finest - this is a custom built cop car with 750hp Hemi. The officer fired it up scares the s*** out of the folks standing around it.
Hopefully the closest I ever get to one of these:

I got Prospeed rack few days ago and have to say seeing G4 type rack Prospeed one is far superior in design
does not add any noise while driving even over 85MPH nor extra fuel consumption IMHO
looks dogs and takes my 200+ pounds with no issues at all
guys from prospeed got some good imagination and design approach I have to say and all other accessories they come up with are pretty cool too
well recommended
it is not an advert just my personal opinion

Interesting that the dealer put gloss black 20" stormers on the D4 show car. What tires did they use? Cooper Zeon LTZ? .

It was actually a customer's car, as I understand it - already sold, but they asked permission to show it as certainly stood out from the crowd. I think it was LTZ's.
Thanks for the rack suggestions - but the reason I ask is that I've got an Expo rack I picked up second hand for the equivalent of 50 pounds but it came without the fairing. '07 LR3 V8 SE
