I dont know if anyone can help here, but when i went to change the second set of brake pads on the front, my locking wheel bolt disintegrated. Sadly the tool that fits it now does not undo it but simply make the matter worse by breaking it up more. It would seem that the bolt head is made of a soft alloy.
Can anyone help or give a suggestion on how i can get this wheel bolt out?

You need to find someone who has the reverse thread locking wheel nut/bolt removal socket of a suitable size.

Yep, as above but also buy 4 regular wheel nuts and bin those lockers as they are more trouble than they are worth. Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Had the same problem myself... Found a way of getting it off but don't want to put it on an open forum..
As soon as i got it off, ordered a set of normal nuts, cost about £4 each from stealer and fitted them, one less thing to worry about If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

I've heard that the dynomec tool works well. If your local garage/A.A. man lacks such, you could buy one & then punt it on eBay after use and having swapped to regular nuts. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
