Hello!
I want to know if someone knows where can I find shorter ring and pinions because I changed the ratio to 33" wheel and the car doesn't go as good as it goes with 32".
the original is 3,54:1
the v8 petrol is 3.73:1 (5% shorter)
I would like to put at least 10% shorter....
thanks anyways....

I'd say ring and pinion. 3.54-1 is the ratio of a normal Landrover so would assume that somewhere in the D3 lineup it would be somewhere near that.
Never heard of a rack and pinion been given as a ratio before. Could be wrong though HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

every body who change wheels mor than 10% change the ring and pinions of the diferential, to make a balance between the wheels and the transmision.
I dont know if you understand me

I know people who have changed the R&P in Defenders for better offroad drivability. But never heard of anyone doing it in a D3. Not sure how the D3 would react to having the ratios' changed though HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

becuse no body changed the wheel more than 10%....just me, and the gear box suffers so much. If I put the R&P of the D3 V8 I change a 5% but I would like to change at least 10% to improve the off roading, because that's what I use the car..... my car y not a normal D3

I don't think there is a company that makes R&P for D3. Your best bet would be to give Ascrofts a call/mail and see what they say. It would be a very niche market so expect to pay a premium if you can get any at all HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

is there a difference in transfer boxes between v8 and diesel as this could also help the gearing.
