Coming back from Devon today the trip computer was saying 23mpg towing the Tintent - going down last saturday it was just about saying 19mpg. Difference was about 10-13'C today and -4'C last week. And I did put a couple more PSI all round.
But I have noticed before that above 10'C ambient, the economy improves significantly. Mark.

Would think wind direction was the biggest factor here. Can make so much difference in round trip to mpg if the wind is directly behind or in front of you.
Buy more beans Range Rover Sport the good looking one Gone
Now driving a very nice van

Good point, not a lot of wind today but might have been a bit of a tail wind on Wednesday on way down. Prefer the south = downhill theory though.

I'll see how I get on this weekend. Trip from Brizzle to Edinburgh on the cards. Will check the pressure before I go and top the tank off. Will report back when I return on Fri HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

That is quite amazing! have never seen MPG like that. The best I get is about 27-28 in the summer when we are on summer grade derv....roll on april for that!
PS on a ttaly unrelated note, how did you get all the additional displalys on your screen, like the clock with the mpg?

Peeps with a Faultmate can activate that for you, it's a dash setup from MY08 onwards ISTR. Bodsy sorted it out for me last year.

Drive down to pick up interior bits from farmerbushey yesterday I thought I would take it steady and see what I can get filled up re set trip and off I went first part of the journey saw the average siting at 12 dam them traffic lights but I resisted the urge to re set and watched it slowly climb to a peak of 41.? After about 50 miles but a few stop starts twistey roads it had settled back to 38.5 by the time I got there 114 miles on the way back I could not improve anything with carefull driving and started to drive a little more briskly by the time ingot back it was down to 36 dead and a quater tank used but 230 miles was good enough for me
Interesting is the fact I also used total fuel scorpion zeros on the back standard pressure and Goodyear wranglers on front standard pressure aswell i have tried running these 3psi up and it does help fuel use but the ride is too harsh for me
Not so interesting is I think it will do better with summer fuel and less wind I had a side wind for most of the journey and I have found with previous vehicles that this can have a massive impact on fuel use
We went out for tea last night and the trip across town with spirited driving saw the average displayed drop to 32.5 undoing all my good work

Last figure on this highly unscientific test, did Chester to Perth, same driving conditions, speed, traffic conditions, Esso juice, AC off etc and temp between 5c and 2c, actual was 30.26mpg. OK couple of hill ranges to go up & over (Shap & S Uplands), might add 1mpg if they had not been there so all in almost 20% difference and the only real difference was the temperature. Roll on summer!!
Unless head north really is uphill.
