They do already Dave. Just dont ask Dave Mac
grahamk wrote:I have been keeping a close eye on the prices up here i Scotland, a decent one under 12k is rare, and they are usualy quite high on miles. Bearing in mind mine has 95k Full service history, mostly LR then at LR specialists and is imamculate and drives faultlessly I was offered 8K as a trade in against a disco 4 from a mean stealer. I am sure you can all imagine where I told them to get off.
Had a customer in today with a 54 plate SE. Was offered £8.5k against an 06MY D3
Might have one yet
Sure you will! if they offered that for mine in Aberdeen, wonder what they would offer for an S with mega miles!

I was offered £10k for mine part ex. Sold privately for over £15k - VERY pleased!
I'd also love to know where you can buy an L322 for £6-£7k! If you aren't living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!!

the title of the thread says it all "Value"....
the cost is stumping up the £readies....either a good second hand or the full monty new
This convinces me to hang on & keep good the D3 I have..an HSE with all the things an original D3 HSE does have (& cant be added to a D4).
Land Rover Marketing take note yet again
Very true the status & reality is versus the repair bills (I have been very lucky...or carefull maybe)
I'm convinced as the models get older there will be a cult following that gets, restores & keeps D3's...especially if LR dont make a D5 (which I think is highly unlikely)
Whats a D5 ?...same as a D4 with more bling....some detail/s (maybe grab handle for passenger seats 6 & 7) cost engineered out...sold at more than its worth to those who didnt invest in a D3. ....have Disco3 HSE TD6 Auto...winter mobile
....also Jag XK......the economy 5.0 litre one...I'm REALLY smitten with this
....& have a Freelander 2 SE Auto...realistic runabout....
